A nice victory, despite the game

First I have to apologies if I’ll write a little bit negative today...

But the game was not the best, and the audience was not more than 8000 (!), but ”Globen” was somehow still enjoying the game. ”Linkan” played with nr 500 on his back on his jersey, because it was his 500th game, and the whole ”Globen” was screaming ”Ole, ole, ole, ole, ole, ole, ole” (everyone who supports DIF knows this song).

The match as a whole was okay: however the game during the match was mediocre. There were individual mistakes among the players, and the players were not playing very well together either, but it plays a smaller role now however. The main point was to win, and they did! Unfortunately “Linkan” did not have such a success in the game, but still, who actually cares? I mean WE are playing in the final!!

Watch this, cross your fingers and wish our boys luck in the final!

For sure it’s not an easy battle…

Good news! DIF are still in the competition, competing about a place in the final. I will not say that this is an easy battle, because it isn't, but at least DIF still have got the chance to be playing in the final. It only differs four points between “Mora” and “Luleå”, but in addition to DIF and Frölunda, some teams have even one game less played.

“HV71” lost against “Linköping”, which didn’t unfortunotly advance DIFs changes to get a place in the final. ”Färjestad broak down DIFs competitor ”Frölunda” with 6-0. This means that Pavel Brendl are approaching DIFs ”score-leader” Linkan in the score table... Damn!

“Linkan” is the greatest

How beautiful wasn’t the victory in the last game, between DIF and Brynäs?

After having a pretty hard time in the third period, Fredrik “Linkan” Bremberg could finally determine the match when he scored 3-0 for DIF. This goal was important for DIF to reach their change to play in the final; it also made “Linkan” historic. Now he IS the player who has scored most during a season, ever in DIF. Kent Nilsson and Espen Knutsen in all its glory, but now “Linkan” is the significant. Congratulations and thanks "Linkan"!

If DIF will qualify to the final, depends on their competitors at the moment.

I'll give you the answer, if DIF still are in the competition concerning the place in the final or not... Bye for a while, and I'll hopefully be back with good news!

0-2 after the second period...

... Even though the game was not as great as in the first period.

The game started well when Pär Bäcker scored a goal 0-1, passed by “Linkan” and Hörnqvist. "Linkan" Bremberg is now just one point away from being the only player who has scored most during a season, during the DIFs history.

However, with his assists in this game he currently shares the record with Kent Nilsson and Espen Knutsen. After the 1-0 goal, DIF tried even harder to extend the lead more, but failed. Brynäs came back and almost scored 1-1 before Jiri Marusak passed from 35 meters, to Kristofer Ottosson who scored the 2-0 goal. Wonderful! The only thing that actually matters now is to stick together and extend the lead. Let’s see how it goes!
